Judo: is a system of unarmed combat, now primarily a sport. The rules of the sport of judo are complex. The objective is to cleanly throw, to pin, or to master the opponent, the latter being done by applying pressure to arm joints or to the neck to cause the opponent to yield. Techniques are generally intended to turn an opponent’s force to one’s own advantage rather than to oppose it directly. A ritual of courtesy in practice is intended to promote an attitude of calm readiness and confidence. The usual costume, known as jūdōgi, is a loose jacket and trousers of strong white cloth. White belts are worn by novices and black by masters, with intermediate grades denoted by other colours.

Carnival in Japan
The origins of the Odori go back 400 years, to the Edo period, at the end of the 16th century. Then it was known as Bon Odori (Dance for the dead), and it was expressed in three different ways. In the first, Zomeki, the participants moved in a circle, under decorative umbrellas, to the rhythm of the shamisen, a kind of three-string guitar. Another more popular expression of this dance was Kumi, in which the townspeople organized themselves in groups of about a hundred people and danced wearing colorful uniforms. Finally, there was also another form of individual dance that was known as Niwaka. Over time, the last two modes of this dance gradually disappeared, while the Zomeki Odori was transformed into the Awa Odori, picking up aspects of the other styles.
The "dance of the dead" has been buried. The Awa Odori (Awa is the old name of Tukushima) is today a popular celebration that has no other purpose than to express the joy and maintain the tradition, something sacred for the Japanese. The local ren are prepared during the year with many enthusiasm . They make their yukatas, cíngulos and headbands - those that used the kamikatze to show their determination during the war and that today the students are tied when they face the examinations-, they meet, they rehearse with the musicians and they spread their enthusiasm to the whole city. The thing has come so far that some of the best ren are frequently invited to act in other countries.
Apart from the official parades, every neighborhood and village of the prefecture celebrates its particular Awa Odori from August 12 to 16. An excellent reason, among many, to visit this island where the spirit of traditional Japan still survives intact.Paragraph. The people dance without ceasing, following each one their inspiration. More than a sensual dance, like the samba, it is a kind of taichi, in which the arms and legs move, more or less in coordination, to the free will and inspiration of each one. The Awa Odori is today a popular celebration which has no other purpose than to express joy and maintain tradition, something sacred to the Japanese.
At the Japan carnival, the most common costume is the Geisha costume.
1. Makeup: the base is white with a bit of red and black.
2. Hairstyle: a hair bun and a toupee with flowers to decorate.
3. The kimono: dresses the body wrapping as a gift type and fastened with a wide belt called obi and dragging along the ground.
4. Shoes: they are called "pokkuri" and are wooden sandals that are characterized by having an extremely thick and high sole, about eleven centimeters, and having a bell in the front.

SHUSHI
Is a Japanese dish of prepared vinegared rice usually with some sugar and salt, accompanying a variety of ingredients , such as seafood, vegetables, and occasionally tropical fruits. Styles of sushi and its presentation vary widely, but the one key ingredient is "sushi rice", also referred to as shari , or sumeshi . The term sushi is no longer used in its original context; it literally means "sour-tasting". Sushi is traditionally made with medium-grain white rice, though it can be prepared with brown rice or short-grain rice. It is very often prepared with seafood, such as squid, eel, yellowtail, salmon, tuna or imitation crab meat. Many types of sushi are vegetarian. It is often served with pickled ginger (gari), wasabi, and soy sauce. Daikon radish or pickled daikon (takuan) are popular garnishes for the dish. Sushi is sometimes confused with sashimi, a related dish in Japanese cuisine that consists of thinly sliced raw fish, or occasionally meat, and an optional serving of rice.

THE DUNBURI
Is a typical dish of Japan. It consists of a bowl containing fish, meat, vegetables or other ingredients cooked together and served over rice. The sauce to cook depends on the season, the ingredient, the region and the flavor. A typical sauce may consist of dashi flavored with soy sauce and mirin. The proportions vary, but normally there are three or four times more dashi than shoyu and mirin. For Oyakodon, Tsuji1 recommends dashi flavored with light soy sauce, dark soy sauce and sugar. For Gyudon, Tsuji recommends water flavored with dark soy sauce and mirin. Donburi can be made with almost any ingredient, including leftovers. Cheap Chinese restaurants in Japan often serve chukadon or gomoku-chukadon, several fried vegetables in the pan with some meat over rice in a large bowl. Despite not being traditional Japanese or Chinese cuisine, this hybrid dish indicates the popularity of Donburi in Japan. You can make a simple donburi by frying the onions in the pan until they are cooked and add the boiling sauce, small pieces of chicken (or meat, tofu or other main ingredient) and boil everything until it cooks. Add one or two lightly beaten eggs and chopped chives and everything is boiled until the eggs are cooked almost completely. The almost cooked egg and meat stew along with the donburi sauce are served over hot rice in a deep donburi dish. It is served hot and eaten with chopsticks.
